How do you make artisanal manufacturing relevant today?

  • Public Relations
  • Social Media Strategy

The Brief

Merida was a brand in the process of rewriting the playbook on American made textiles. With a world class weaver and Artistic Director Sylvie Johnson at the helm and a refreshed design DNA the brand needed a public relations firm to figure out how to tell that story to the press.

You elevate and crystalize their story.

Beautiful, artistic content and high brow concepts can be challenging to squish into the ADD attention span of today’s world, but we made it happen. Nylon mapped out a strategy that focused on the people behind their brand and their unique approach to craft, and showcased that through the right imagery. In two and a half years we secured full page profiles of Sylvie in ELLE Decor, Architectural Digest, and Veranda, brand features in both regional media luxury titles (Christie’s International Real Estate Magazine).

  • 3 year partnership (so far)
  • 5 Media verticals - design, luxury, consumer, business, regional
  • 1 in 4 Merida placements was a full feature
