Laura Bindloss is the Founder of Nylon Consulting. She founded the agency in 2014 after working both in house for a luxury fabric house in London and for a digitally focused interior design start-up in New York. Since its inception, she has grown it from a one woman public relations firm run out of an apartment to an award winning agency that has expanded to include social media and content services with clients across the U.S., Canada and the UK. Laura and her team have built national brands out of previously unknown interior designers, secured collaborations with cultural institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and put her clients’ products in the feeds of influencers who gain the exposure they need. She has launched start ups and revived historic brands into relevant players. 

With a singular focus on discoverability, Laura believes not in how people will see your brand now, but how they will continue to find it in the future. In Spring of 2022 she launched a sister company- Designer Home Tours, the video media brand focused on showcasing best in class home tours by the professionals who did them.

As the Chief Revenue Officer at Nylon, Simon spearheads operational initiatives while identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities aligning with the company’s vision. With over two decades of extensive experience in global finance, Simon’s background includes pivotal roles at prestigious institutions such as BlackRock, Barclays, Credit Suisse, and UBS. His profound expertise in financial dynamics enriches Nylon’s strategic approach to growth and sustainability.

Outside of the corporate world, Simon revels in life’s simple joys. Whether he’s hitting the trails on his bike, rallying on the tennis court, or creating cherished memories with his two kids, Simon embraces each moment with enthusiasm and appreciation.

With a background in both editorial and public relations, Kate has a deep understanding of the design industry from both perspectives, which has proven to be successful in her role as Account Director of Content + PR at Nylon Consulting. Her 15+ years of experience in home + shelter have included posts at Luxe Interiors + Design, where she was the Market + Style Editor, and the Decoration & Design Building. She joined the Nylon team in 2019 and has served as the PR account lead for top design brands like McKinnon and Harris and Maiden Home, and an incredible roster of interior designers and architects. 

Kate also oversees the newly established Content Department at Nylon – her discerning eye and innate skill for written and visual storytelling have helped brands and designers alike in refining their messaging and branding in addition to creating compelling, purpose-driven assets. She lives upstate New York with her golden doodle, Olive. 

Over her almost 9 years of experience both in-house and agency, ranging from footwear, general lifestyle, and now home and interior design, Layne has prided herself on her client communication and organization which helps keep everyone moving to the shared goal of increasing brand awareness. She has done everything from securing press, planning events and press trips, creating ambassador programs that increase sales, and project managing philanthropic efforts that resulted in over 1B impressions.

Her proudest moments at Nylon so far have included securing full page features for McKinnon and Harris and Little Greene, planning a store opening event and US debut for Little Greene, and traveling to SF Fall Show, HPMKT, and House Beautiful Whole Home to support client initiatives

Mackenzie is a NY-based public relations and communications professional with over five years of experience working with interior designers, as well as both established and start-up companies in the home and lifestyle space, such as Bria Hammel Interiors, The Home Edit, Weezie Towels and more. With her strong media relationships and experience creating strategic partnerships, Mackenzie has secured client coverage across mediums, including Architectural Digest, Forbes, The New York Times, The Today Show and more. 

From developing Public Relations strategy to fostering collaborations, Mackenzie has a passion for storytelling and creating connections between brands and their audience.

With over 8 years of expertise in luxury interior design, fashion, and beauty, Shannon serves as an accomplished Account Supervisor at Nylon Consulting PR. Specializing in transformative public relations strategies, Shannon has collaborated with renowned national & international brands like Studio McGee, Pooky Lighting, ABC Carpet & Home, ZAK & FOX, New York Design Center and Bradley Odom Interiors. Focused on creative ingenuity and compelling storytelling, coupled with strategic relationship building, 

Shannon propels emerging interior designers & brands to national prominence, securing features in prestigious publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Veranda, Architectural Digest, and Elle Decor. Passionate about storytelling, she excels in bringing individuals and brands to life through a strategic media approach

Before working at Nylon, Grace spent 2 years of experience in the commercial design industry working with clients ranging from textile and surface design to hospitality and furniture design. Grace has facilitated events in NYC and attended trade shows across the country including HD Expo, NeoCon, BDNY, and ICFF. Her experience in content development including styling + photoshoots is extensive and she remains excited to continue to explore the world of residential design!

Some of Grace’s proudest moments at Nylon include securing a cover feature for Kate Marker in Modern Luxury Interiors Chicago, getting Regan Baker’s CA project featured on Dwell, and spreading the news that UK-based paint & wallpaper brand Little Greene is now available in the US – how exciting!

Carly is an NJ-based publicist with over two years of experience in the home and lifestyle space working alongside clients such as Studio McGee, SMEG, The New York Design Center and Abner Henry. While at Nylon she has planned press trips, managed 150+ brand ambassadors, secured media appointments, and attended High Point Market for client support. Carly has previously garnered placements in outlets including, Better Homes and Gardens, Domino, Real Simple, The New York Times, and more. 

She is passionate about helping build and maintain distinctive brand identities through media relations. 

Brooke Carde is an Account Executive on the team at NYLON. With a wealth of experience exceeding two years in the PR industry, she excels in infusing creativity and strategic insight into the consumer and design PR space. Her day-to-day responsibilities include constructing targeted media lists, executing persuasive pitches to secure both print and digital media opportunities, and conducting thorough research to stay abreast of trending design topics covered by editors. 

Brooke has a passion for cultivating enduring relationships with editors, a factor that has proven instrumental in securing notable placements for her clients. Her accomplishments include securing features in prestigious publications such as Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, ELLE Decor, The TODAY Show, and more. 

With over 6 years of experience in social media and digital marketing, Aubrey brings creativity, ideation, and organization to the team which fuels her expertise in content creation, strategy, and management. Aubrey has showcased her talents across various industries and currently manages a diverse portfolio of clients at Nylon.

In her role, she oversees a spectrum of services, including content creation, paid advertising, influencer management, and strategy.

Alexi is an experienced social media and content strategist with over five years of experience in all things social. A natural storyteller, she’s skilled in copywriting, leveraging data to develop a strategy, and creating dynamic social-first content. She has worked with a diverse set of clients in real estate, lifestyle, and tech industries. At Nylon, she collaborates with clients on content creation, strategy, execution, influencer campaigns and paid social.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Alexi spends her free time hiking with her dog Luna, traveling, or searching TikTok for a new recipe to try.

Kristi is a highly motivated Social Media Account Executive with a diverse marketing background of nearly four years. Her experience includes managing social media accounts both at agencies, where she oversaw social media and events for the Empire State Building and in-house at retail fashion brands. She specializes in influencer management, community engagement, and the execution of marketing campaigns. 

Kristi is passionate about assisting her clients in achieving success and is deeply committed to helping them reach their social media and marketing goals.

Maisie has cultivated her social media experience through hands-on work, initially experimenting with posting strategies during her tenure in retail in Charlotte North Carolina for a local clothing boutique, and subsequently contributing to TikTok and Instagram content plans for The Mayfair Group in Scottsdale, Arizona. After moving from AZ to NYC, Maisie worked in the PR and Influencer industry, curating mailers and securing social placements for brands like Physicians Formula, Miami Fashion Week, and others. 

Outside of work, you can find Maisie running on the West Side Highway, making lists in her Notes app (see: Names for My Future Cat, Top Ten Movie List, Office Jargon Sayings), and enjoying weekly Sunday night dinners with her older sister.

With over 13 years in PR and Marketing, Tasneem has the know-how to navigate the communications world. She’s worked with big names like META, Hilton, Marriott, Heineken and Coca-Cola to name a few brands during her time at Publicis Groupe. During her career, she also managed and drove social and PR campaigns that have clinched awards at Cannes Lions, D&D Awards, and The One Show. Her background includes a significant tenure at Jaguar Land Rover, where she spearheaded Marketing and Customer Experience. 

Tasneem is all about driving impactful results, leveraging her diverse background to craft brand strategies that resonate. Approachable and passionate, she’s also a devoted mom of two toddlers who keep her on her toes, balancing professional finesse with family life.
