Collaborations & Licensing

Driving Strategic Partnerships: Concept to Market

We have represented both brands and designers in the licensing process, and are able to offer both licensing and collaborations through our public relations team. Our process is to align with our client on who they want to reach and through what partner they may speak to that demographic, and to handle the strategic outreach and discussions on behalf of our clients. We also offer contract negotiation and all legal advisement related to deal structures as part of our fee structure, which is available as an additional retainer or on a project basis. Once the product is launched, we handle the media strategy and press coverage.

Brigette Romanek for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams

For their first ever designer collaboration, MGBW asked Nylon to identify a designer that would showcase the brand in a new light and reach a new audience; generating press interest as well. After interviewing a number of prospects, Nylon secured their first designer collaboration with Brigette Romanek, the LA based designer who had just launched a show on HBO with Ellen DeGeneres and had just secured the cover of Architectural Digest for her design of Gwenyth Paltrow’s home. The collection showed the brand in a new stylistic light and secured them top tier national press coverage.

WallPops x LoveShackFancy

To reach a fashion forward audience and partner with a brand who had the ability to distribute and sell product, we approached the team at LoveShackFancy on behalf of our client, the peel and stick wallpaper brand WallPops to collaborate on a line of wallpaper that would coincide with their expansion into the home space. The result was a wide variety of national press coverage, including a mention in The New York Times (the brand’s first).

Wallpops x ChrisLovesJulia

Looking to test the brand loyalty of the influencer world, Nylon pitched the concept of partnering with a traditional content creator focused on design to the WallPops team as their next collaboration. After speaking to a number of influencers in the home design space, Nylon put forward ChrisLovesJulia, the beloved creator duo known for documenting their home renovations to a wide audience of fans. The result was the fastest selling collection of peel and stick floor tiles - only one product - that WallPops had ever produced. It sold out within minutes of launch and took 4 re stocks to get the inventory to last more than a few days on the website.
